As a creative fashion professionals, Première Vision Paris is a unique event designed to facilitate your sourcing and fuel creativity with a complete panorama of raw materials and specific services. From yarns to manufacturing, fabrics, leathers, designs, colors and accessories, you’ll find everything you need to develop your collections from A to Z throughout the show’s dedicated halls.

The Première Vision Paris show was held from 8 to 10 February 2022 at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord-Villepinte (Halls 4, 5 and 6). The trade show for fashion design professionals, is organising a hybrid version of the event in order to support all the industry’s players.

Première Vision Paris aims to reinforce its role as an influencer and consolidate its position as a key trade show for the whole the industry. With this in mind, this year’s programme includes several events (such as forums presenting the season’s main materials, trends and tools), physical and online TREND TASTING seminars, a live Sourcing session (during which participants can discover and view the products selected by the Première Vision fashion team) and 2 spaces devoted to new ideas and inspiration.

Première Vision Paris brings together all the players in raw materials and services for the production of apparel, bags, shoes and fantasy jewellery, to effectively assist fashion professionals develop their collections. This hub of meetings and inspirations is both a unique place to do business and a trend laboratory.

Première Vision Paris selects and brings together the complementary expertise of 1,500 international exhibitors to meet your need for multi-material, selective and creative sourcing. Yarns, fabrics, leathers and furs, textile designs, accessories and components, and a selection of fashion manufacturing companies offering a sourcing service… Each season, Première Vision Paris takes up the challenge of bringing together in one place all the resources needed to build the most cutting-edge collections of ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and fantasy jewellery on the market.

The exhibition is generally held twice a year, Première Vision Paris help to selected the know-how of fashion materials and service experts, creativity is expressed without restraint throughout the seasons, Première Vision Paris February: presentation of the spring-summer collections. Première Vision Paris July: presentation of the autumn-winter collections.

Première Vision foucse on fashion trends, 18 months before the product is visible to everyone in the stores, in the form of finished products. To achieve this goal, a dedicated internal team works in synergy with fifteen or so international professionals. This creative union gives birth to a panoramic vision of all the professions that make up fashion and which enable the development of fashion information according to a unique methodology.

Each season, the Première Vision fashion team builds the main orientations and trends (colors, materials, etc.) with international experts, before sharing them with the entire creative chain (manufacturers, buyers, stylists, media, etc.) in the form of information seminars, trend spaces – forums – at the show, or online.

Organization
Created in 1973 by some fifteen silk industry professionals from Lyons, Première Vision invented a new and unprecedented platform for the creative fashion industry. A platform that brought together, in one trade fair, industry professionals from the same sector looking to collaborate, to promote their know-how and to develop their business opportunities, while introducing the first coordinated development of seasonal colour and fabric fashion trends.

Over the years, Première Vision adeptly diversified its activities, most notably by regularly integrating new shows in France and abroad, while expanding its areas of expertise and its knowledge of the various fashion industry activity sectors. At all its shows is found the same approach, based on innovation and a constant search for quality services, to propose a selective and creative offer with high added-value.

Some 45 years later, this rare French jewel of a company has established itself as the world’s leading organiser of events and trade fairs for creative fashion, with 12 events per year featuring 5,200 major industry players and 180,000 international visitors.

Exhibition areas
An essential event for the entire textile industry, Premiere Vision Paris is comprised of six shows, each dedicated to a sector: Premiere Vision Yarns, Fabrics, Designs, Accessories, Leather and Manufacturing. From fibre choices to fashion manufacturing, the show focuses on diversity and exchange, drawing industry professionals from all around the world. Designed to be highly effective and complementary, Premiere Vision Paris makes it possible to focus efforts at a strategic moment, and benefit from the many advantages of this highly influential professional event.

Yarns and fibres section
Natural, artificial or synthetic fibres, high-performance yarns, recyclable materials, this most-upstream selection step in the textile chain is paramount. The fabric take on its full dimension thanks to the yarns and fibres that go into it and lend it its creativity and its technology. Première Vision Yarns offers the currently most advanced creations and innovations. Spinners and fibre producers offer products for all markets: woven fabrics, jacquards, circular knits, hosiery, technical uses,

Clothing fibres section
Première Vision Fabrics brings together fabrics created, produced and marketed for the apparel markets. The elaboration of a collection flows naturally from the textile selections: shapes, patterns, colours … tight up to the manufacturing of the garment itself… Each collection presented by the weavers selected for the show is characterized by its coherence and an identifiable fashion direction.

Leather and fabrics section
This section is dedicated to the leather and fabrics for leather goods and footwear trades. The sector involves unique trades and know-hows. Positioned on the high-end, Première Vision Leather brings together a first-class offer with guaranteed traceability. Stylists and designers from the major names in luxury goods as well as ready-to-wear, leather goods and footwear brands looking for high-quality leathers but also creative fabrics for accessories and manufacturers to make their collections of finished products.

Patterns and textile design section
Representatives of fashion brands looking for the decorative inspiration of the season and exclusive patterns for their collections. The decoration offer from Première Vision Designs exhibitors personalise and lend distinction to buyers’ future collections: dresses, blouses, T-shirts, children’s clothing, lingerie, swimsuits, etc.

Textile creation, motifs and patterns are the heart of Première Vision Designs’ offering. It brings together a rigorous selection of specialized international studios presenting their latest collections in textile design (patterns, motifs, knit ideas, ornamentation, vintage …). Buyers who come to do their sourcing discover the season’s trends and major themes in terms of decorations and patterns.

Accessories and components section
This section focuses on bringing together accessories and components for fashion and design that decorate clothing, footwear, leather goods, lingerie, etc. A broadly diversified offer that brings together a selection of buttons and buckles, embroideries and narrow laces, appliqués for ready-to-wear, leather goods and footwear, zips and metallic or plastic accessories, ribbons, sequins and sequined yarns … Components for fashion jewellery (rhinestones, chains, stones, etc.) and decorative accessories (laces, ornaments, leather or textile pieces), but also packaging manufacturers.

Fashion Manufacturing
The manufacturing stage is essential. While some brands and houses have their own production sites or workshops, others must sub-contract to fashion manufacturers. Première Vision Manufacturing stands out as the essential link between the upstream and the downstream of the clothing textile sector by offering a quality clothing manufacturing service. The space brings together a complete range of technical and logistical solutions dedicated to fashion brands and household linen to produce their collections.

A selection of fashion manufacturers specialized in fluid garments, casualwear and citywear (Softwear sector), suits and jacket (Suitwear), cut and sewn knitwear (Tee’s & Co), shirtings (Shirts Up), and denim (Upper Jeanswear). There’s also an area for swimwear, outerwear and accessories (Special Skills). Knitters, machine makers and flat knitwear specialists. Specialized service providers (quality control) and promotional organizations.

Manufacturing Leather
Leather is the universe dedicated to fabricating leather garments, leather goods and footwear. These top-level professionals present solutions in terms of manufacturing techniques and know-hows that are highly sought after by fashion brands, who come here to meet reliable and creative partners to help them develop their accessories collections (shoes, bags) and leather ready-to-wear. This offer is completed by the presence of companies offering technical components for footwear (soles, heels, reinforcements, welt…).

Maison d’Exceptions:
Dedicated to ateliers with a particularly high level of know-how, this space gathers exhibiting houses demonstrating working techniques which, each in their field, represent an exceptional know-how. About thirty artists are present each session. Entry to this space is by invitation only and reserved for international luxury actors in textiles, accessories and leather goods sectors.

Sustainable creation and Fashion Tech
Discover the new eco-responsible and technological innovations that are already industrialized and exploitable, which are the fashion of today and was the fashion of tomorrow.

The exhibitors of this area offer recycled materials (fibers, fabrics…); organic and biological materials; the most traceable processes and materials; components and accessories; eco-responsible fibers; eco-designed textiles; alternative materials (to leather, synthetic fabrics…); eco-responsible tanning processes; environmentally friendly finishing processes; eco-responsible dyeing processes (waterless, technological, natural…); eco-responsible textile printing techniques; global circular approaches; fabrics with innovative properties; technologies from Fashion Tech, certification organizations, etc.

The Denim Première Vision show, roaming between influential European capitals. Destined for creative fashion and contemporary denim markets, the show presents the latest developments and innovations from a selection of international players chosen from the best in the denim industry to fashion brands and jeanswear specialists;

Made In France Première Vision, in Paris: dedicated to promoting all French industry production regions and know-how: clothing, accessories, fabrics, leather;

Blossom Première Vision (in Paris): an exclusive event dedicated to the pre-collections of high-end, luxury and creative fashion brands, who come to discover a preview of the earliest fabrics, leather and accessories directions;

Première Vision Sport, launched in 2019, specialized in sport and performant materials for fashion and sportswear brands, organized in Portland, USA in partnership with the leader in footwear for sport, the American Events’ THE MATERIAL SHOW.

Première Vision Shenzhen, launched in 2020, a side-by-side show located in the heart of one of the leading textile and fashion shows in Asia, Fashion Source, which takes place twice a year in Shenzhen. This new event brings together a creative range of materials – yarns, fabrics, accessories, leathers, designs – from a wide selection of Asian and European suppliers.

The Première Vision Marketplace, launched in 2018, dedicated to industry professionals, the goal of Première Vision is to draw on the complementary e-commerce channel in the still traditional textile industry sector, to offer new services and new tools. The Marketplace is launching this September.

Awards

The PV Awards
The PV Awards are an opportunity to reward the most remarkable, inventive and innovative creations and leathers selected among Première Vision Fabrics and Première Vision Leather exhibitors. To choose the winners, each September we bring together a prestigious jury composed of influential personalities from the international fashion scene.

In all, 8 PV Awards are handed out, 4 prizes for fabrics and 4 for leathers: Grand Jury Prize, for the most outstanding, symbolic and pertinent fabric and leather of the season. Handle Prize, for the fabric and leather allying the most astonishing tactile and behavioral qualities, those with the strongest emotional impact. Imagination Prize, for the boldest, most original, most amazing fabric and leather in terms of decoration, technique, finishing, innovation and technology. Fashion Smart Creation Prize, for the most creative responsible fabric and leather.

NextGen Awards Première Vision
To giving visibility to young textile designers, This international competition (formerly Texprint), now organized by Première Vision, is a unique opportunity for final-year students from fashion schools around the world to benefit from international visibility. Once a year, 20 students are selected to compete for the 4 following prizes: Grand Jury Prize, the Imagination Prize, the Interiors Prize, the Materials Innovation Prize. Hyères Festival
To supported the creativity of the future, Première Vision has been a partner of the International Festival of Fashion since 2011, Photography and Fashion Accessories in Hyères, which is held every year at the end of April at the Villa Noailles. At the end of the competition, a jury of prominent industry professionals awards three prizes for fashion, including the Première Vision Grand Prix du Jury.

The first step in the partnership is to put the 10 Fashion finalists and the 10 Accessories finalists chosen by the Festival Jury in contact with the exhibitors who supply them with the raw materials. Yarns, fabrics, accessories, and manufacturing … All these precious resources help the finalists produce the collections they present at the Festival in the spring.

Sustainability and Eco-responsibility
Première Vision with the new eco-responsible and technological innovations that are already industrialized and exploitable, which are the fashion of today and was the fashion of tomorrow. A strong and necessary evolution to meet the needs of international fashion industry players – industrial exhibitors and fashion and accessories brands.

Première Vision Paris with The logic of responsible creation applies from the so-called creation phase because 80% of the environmental impact of a product is at stake from its design. All the upstream creative fashion sectors are thus concerned. And because the actors who innovate can also be located in other areas of the show, Première Vision Paris offers a trail that brings together exhibitors identified as having an exemplary responsible.

2 key subjects on which the Première Vision Group has been positioning itself for several years now to accompany the creative fashion industry in its transformation. In 2015, it launched the Smart Creation study and information platform in order to promote the responsible approaches of its exhibitors and highlight a new generation of values.

At the same time, the Wearable Lab, launched in 2017 for the February editions, explored the innovations driven by the advent of new technologies and digitalization for a connected and intelligent fashion. From February 2020, the two spaces merge and become a single Smart Creation Area, to be discovered at each edition, in February and September.

Online trading platform
The Première Vision Marketplace, a true digital catalogue and professional community space, extends and complements the business relationships initiated at the 12 events it organizes each year. It allows visitors to sample or order products from different exhibitors and pay in one easy transaction. It helps multiply sales opportunities on the suppliers’ side, and facilitate sourcing for brands.
