The LA Auto Show 2019 returns November 22 – December 1, at the LA Convention Center. The LA Auto Show continues to be one of the biggest annual gatherings in Los Angeles. The ten jam-packed days will have more than 1,000 vehicles on display and will include test drives, never-before-seen vehicles, custom and exotic cars, activations and one-of-a-kind experiences.

Founded in 1907, the Los Angeles Auto Show is the first major North American auto show of the season annually, is one of the most influential and best-attended auto shows globally. Reflective of its location, the show celebrates the love affair Angelenos have with their cars and offers a global platform to industry technology and innovation, synonymous with California. Each fall, show creator ANSA Productions gathers the who’s who of the auto industry to unveil the future of mobility in the car culture capital of the world.

It is open to the public for ten days each year, filling 760,000 square feet (71,000 m2) of exhibit space. Visitors come together to celebrate car culture, connect with their favorite automotive brands, test drive the latest vehicles, explore the nation’s largest public aftermarket showcase and even discover rideables and transportation services that are changing the way the showget from point A to B.

The show runs for 10 full days over the Thanksgiving period and is a must-attend destination for many industry influencers, car enthusiasts and families wanting to enjoy a day out over the holiday season. Held annually at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the LA Auto Show contributes several hundred million dollars to the local economy, stimulates the local job market and is the number one revenue generator for the LA Convention Center.

The show begins with AutoMobility LA, which is press showing. Delivering worldwide media exposure, global industry networking and experiential marketing, AutoMobility LA (formerly Press and Trade Days) draws more than 26,500 auto industry decision makers and influencers including 4,400 media from more than 58 countries. It brings together the entire eco-system driving the convergence of technology and the automobile.

AutoMobility LA 2019
AutoMobility LA, which includes auto show press days and vehicle debuts, took place on November 18 and 21. Established and newcomer automakers from around the world introduce their latest concept and production vehicles during 2019 Auto Show’s industry and media gathering. BMW, Hyundai, Karma Automotive, Porsche, Toyota and Volkswagen Set to Make News.

This year’s debut vehicles span across all segments, price-points, and powertrains, including electric. More than 65 Debut Vehicles Including 25 Global Reveals for LA Auto Show’s Press and Trade Event.

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, industry and media professionals at AutoMobility LA will share insights around the future of transportation and witness vehicle debuts from Karma Automotive and press announcements from innovative startups and suppliers, including AEye.ai and Vulog.

AutoMobility LA continues on Wednesday and Thursday (Nov. 20-21) with many more vehicle unveilings and press announcements by automakers introducing the latest advances in transportation innovation. Among the debut vehicles, 38 percent will be making their global premiere at AutoMobility LA, with 35 percent of those being hybrid or electric vehicles.

Automakers bringing debut vehicles to AutoMobility LA 2019 include:
Alfa Romeo: The debut of the 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio
Audi: The all-new, fully-electric Audi e-tron Sportback and the new line of RS performance models, including the Audi RS 6 Avant
Bollinger Motors: Bollinger Motors’ all-electric models, the B1 and B2, will be making their auto show debut
Hyundai: Hyundai to reveal five vehicles; the marque’s lineup of concept and production models will showcase powertrains including ICE, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric
INFINITI: The INFINITI Edition 30 line will make its auto show debut; the limited-quantity product line will include the 2020 Q50, Q60, QX50, QX60, and QX80 models
KIA: KIA announced that it will have a debut for its press conference
Lexus: Lexus has confirmed debut vehicles, including a global premiere
Mazda: Mazda has confirmed the debut of several all-new and refreshed 2020 models for its press conference
Subaru: Subaru will showcase multiple debut vehicles; two will make their North American premiere
Toyota: Toyota has multiple reveals for its press conference, including vehicles with new and alternative powertrain options

Hyundai Racing Challenge:
Hyundai invites attendees to join in the excitement of competing in the Hyundai Racing Challenge located in the South Hall Lobby, where show-goers can test their virtual driving skills in Hyundai’s racing simulation.

Free Test Drives:
Visitors to the Los Angeles Auto Show will be able to test drive new vehicles from brands including Acura, Chrysler, Fiat, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

Lexus Customs:
Lexus will be stacked with an epic display of modified vehicles, prominently displayed in the Lexus Custom section of the show’s atrium.

Electrify America (South Atrium):
Learn more about the growing infrastructure for electric vehicles by getting up close to a replica charging station. Experts from Electrify America will be available to teach consumers how they work and explain the benefits of electric vehicles. Visitors to the booth will also have the opportunity to check out the all-new Harley-Davidson LiveWire.

Ford Ranger Hill Experience (North Plaza):
Experience the rugged ride in the Ford Ranger on the Ford Ranger Hill Experience. The ride-and-drive will feature the newest Ford Ranger’s off-road and all-terrain capabilities.

Ford STEAM Machine (Breezeway):
Making its national debut at the LA Auto Show, the Ford STEAM Machine comes with experiments and fun games that teach children about air pressure, kinetic energy, magnetism, Newton’s laws of motion, and more. Ford created the Ford STEAM Machine to engage children in science, technology, engineering, arts and math and to help eliminate barriers to STEAM education. For more than 30 years, Ford Motor Company has inspired young people to seek knowledge, be curious, solve problems and – like Henry Ford himself – make dreams of a better tomorrow come true.

Get behind the wheels of the latest and greatest from brands, including: Acura, Audi, Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lincoln, Polaris, Nissan, Ram, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen. For the first time ever, Tesla will also be offering test drives at the LA Auto Show.

Hyundai Racing Game Experience (South Atrium):
Test your virtual racing skills with the Hyundai Racing Game Experience and go head-to-head in this racing simulation.

The Lost Corvettes/Corvette Heroes (Kentia Lobby):
“The Lost Corvettes” – AKA the Peter Max Collection of 36 classic Corvettes – were recently restored by a group called the Corvette Heroes. The “Big Six” (Corvettes from the years 1953, 1956, 1957, 1966, 1967 and 1969) out of the historic collection will be showcased in their restored glory at this year’s LA Auto Show.

Mobility Solutions of the Future

gita (Breezeway):
gita is the two-wheeled, cargo-carrying device designed to follow an individual around and carry up to 40 pounds of cargo, shaping the evolution of consumer transportation and mobility.

Karma Automotive (Concourse Hall):
Karma is bringing its unique luxury mobility experiences which will instantly connect you to your own source of inspiration and a more inspirational future. Karma Automotive’s vehicles on display will include the SC1, Revero GT, Revero, and KARMA GT.

Repair Smith (Breezeway):
Repair Smith will be showcasing its service vehicle that can come directly to you and an expert will walk visitors through their process to show how easy it can be to get serviced on the go.

Entertainment for All Ages

Disney·Pixar’s “Onward” (West Atrium):
Fans will have the opportunity to take photos with a real-life version of Guinevere, the van from Disney•Pixar’s upcoming film “Onward.” Decked out with crescent moon windows and a “Pegacorn” (part Pegasus, part unicorn) painted on the sides, Guinevere will offer guests a taste of the adventure that the two teenage elf brothers embark upon in the film.

Jaguar Land Rover (South Atrium):
Land Rover will be celebrating 4xFar Adventure Music Festival by hosting Carpool Karaoke in collaboration with the Singing Machine at the LA Auto Show. Auto show attendees will have the chance to step into a Range Rover vehicle and sing their favorite songs with their friends and family.

Maroon Vault Studios (West Atrium):
Artists from Maroon Vault Studios will be sketching popular cars at the show. Visitors can purchase customized sketches and watch artists as they create their masterpieces.

Pet Adoptions (West Hall & Breezeway):
Subaru, partnering with Our Family Paws Rescue, and the DoVE Project (Dogs of Violence Exposed) will have dogs available for adoption on Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23, respectively.

LEGO, Inc. (South Atrium):
Experience hands-on building at the show’s first-ever LEGO booth, which will honor the beloved car culture of Los Angeles. A highlight of the booth will be the life-size LEGO Bugatti Chiron, a 1:1 replica of the real-life automobile made entirely of LEGO Technic bricks and elements.

Competitions and Awards

Automotive Startup Competition
Top Ten Automotive Startup Competition is the Signature Program of AutoMobility LA, Companies Shaping the Evolution of Autonomy, Clean Energy Vehicles, and Cybersecurity Among Finalists For Startup Competition. Grand Prize Winner to be Awarded $15,000 at 2019 AutoMobility LA. The competition have developed solutions with real potential for optimizing transportation and positively impacting society. From leveraging research and analytics to scaling and innovating end-user mobility services, these startups represent an ever-growing mobility industry.

More than 160 startups from all over the world applied to make the show’s coveted shortlist that spotlights new companies aiming to revolutionize the way mobility is perceived and experienced. The ten finalists will have the opportunity to introduce and demonstrate their latest technologies and innovations in front of media and industry professionals.

Projects
The Los Angeles Auto Show announced its new initiative to increase awareness around electric vehicles (EV) and EV-ownership. Dubbed EV | LA, the new program is made possible with the support of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and other partners including the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project, Veloz’s Electric For All campaign, Electrify America, Plug In America, and the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies. Through the EV | LA program, the LA Auto Show and its partners hope to demystify fears and help people make informed decisions around alt-fuel options.

Forums and conferences
Every year, AutoMobility LA lends its platform to several organizations to host forums, think tanks and summits to complement its key programming and provide attendees access to industry leaders in design, marketing and security. LA Auto Show provide a forum for today’s automotive and technology leaders to connect and share ideas, These dynamic events are critical to the future of mobility by inspiring new and innovative thinking.

Beginning on Monday, Nov. 18, the Securing Mobility Summit will return to the Los Angeles Convention Center for its third year. During the all-day event, Securing Mobility Summit will bring in world-class experts to discuss the future of security within the mobility sector. Specialists will discuss their approaches to tackling pressing issues including counterterrorism, industrial espionage, robotics, security engineering and virtualization.

ARN Automotive Society will bring its 2019 Auto Think Tank Conference to the AutoMobility LA campus, Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 18-19. The conference will focus on two areas: technology disruption facing automakers and retailing challenges impacting the dealer network. The Auto Think Tank Conference will hone in on the intersection of automotive sectors and aim to provide unmatched knowledge and resources on trends impacting the automotive industry.

MediaPost’s Marketing: Automotive LA brings the top marketers in the industry together for a unique shared learning experience on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Today’s automotive marketer faces a period of great change – one that creates equal amounts of challenges and opportunities. The half-day conference will pool the collective insights of top marketing executives and their agency partners together to discuss challenges and work out a model for continued growth and success in the future.

Returning to the Technology Pavilion on Wednesday, Nov. 20, the 2019 Car Design Forum LA will have top designers in the automotive space discussing the strategy around automotive design. This year, the focus of the forum will be user-centered design and designing with augmented and virtual reality tools that will revolutionize the design process.
