This year, the fairground is divided into a number of zones: Building Technology and Hospital Furniture, Hospital Equipment, Household Medical Products, Laboratory Equipment, Manufacturing and Design Solution, Medical Supplies and Disposables, Rehabilitation and Elderly Care, and Medical Device Technology.

The 2nd HKTDC Hong Kong International Medical Devices and Supplies Fair, take place during 3 to 5 November 2010, at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center.

With the support of the Centre for Innovation and Technology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Mould and Die Technology Association, the fair with more professional medical device offerings from all around the world for both the household consumer market and the institutional market.

Returning after its successful debut last year, the medical fair has attracted 140 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions including Canada, the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Chinese Taiwan, The Czech Republic, India, Malaysia, Singapore and the US. Italy is represented at the fair for the first time, with three companies attending.

Dedicated sections offering various products and supplies are also in place, with the largest area dedicated to hospital equipment. This year’s fair also introduces a new Laboratory Equipment zone.

Among the highlights of the medical fair is the Tech Exchange which creates opportunities to commercialise technology developed by tertiary institutions.
