The exhibition “Vapor” it transmits the perennial of the images that light up and evaporate, which flow at a rhythm set by consumers. Within them, error is not a failure, it is a condition and opportunity. For its part, Vapor… is a commitment to contemporary digital languages, accident as a creative possibility and its relationship with fashion and social media. It is a live exhibition, a collaborative project where every Thursday, for a month, different artists will intervene on the walls of FM4C with proposals for images made through graffiti, in addition to a selection of glitchart, resulting in a fully dynamic, participatory and multi-format exhibition.

Nowadays we experience the ephemeral aesthetics of images, lighting up and evaporating, the flow of a rhythm marked by consumers. Within, error is not failure; it’s a condition and an opportunity.

In the digital world, sudden errors, which don’t affect the performance but are visually evident, are known as glitches. An unexpected aspect which users must prepare themselves for. In the world of fashion and digital art, the aesthetic of the flitch calling back to the 1990s has been retaken in order to create something new, glitchart and vaporwave. Representing the form in which our era values the creative possibilities of accidents, in which we adjust ourselves to the visually unforeseen, to fail without failure.

Graffiti and other expression of urban art express the creativity found amidst the urban chaos. They adept themselves to the paint drips, the police which chase them, the reduction of the outside which ultimately becomes incorporated into art. All these things, at their very essence are urban glitches, visuals that confounds us and our relationship with both the metropolis and it’s inhabitants.

By creation a new space in the museum for this kind of visual expression, we raise in importance the every-day language of the image and the reflection on it’s meanings, use and forms in which art, the city, design, fasion and the digital world all come together as one.

Vapor compendium between the world of fashion, design, art and the rush that surrounds the digital world. Based on the exhibition of videos generated from images that users upload to social networks with the hashtag glitchArt, this exhibition manages to give a voice to both artists and the public that visits it.

There are images of characters like Pink and J-pop artists, and even caricatures like the Simpsons, accompanied by renowned brands of juices, cigars, condoms, among others. All in a mix of music, psychedelic colors and movements.

Its contents change every week, since these are modified as more materials are received on. There two sites within the room so that the public and invited artists can intervene: a collage wall and a graffiti wall. Without a doubt, this will be an experience that you will want to repeat more than once.

Four Ways Photo Museum
The Cuatro Caminos Photo Museum is a museum dedicated to the exhibition, diffusion, and analysis of photography.

The Cuatro Caminos Photo Museum is one of the projects that make up the Pedro Meyer Foundation. To be more effective use and a better understanding of visual language strengthen community dialogue and offer the tools for a greater social and economic projection of individuals. For this reason, our objective is to consolidate an educational ecosystem that, through various resources, meets this educational need among different audiences and levels of specialization.

The project began in early 2012 in what was previously an industrial warehouse that housed a plastics factory in the 1940s. Funding for its realization was obtained through funds from the Pedro Meyer Foundation and financial support. by the National Council for Culture and the Arts.The refurbishment of the old space was in charge of the architect Mauricio Rocha and was inaugurated on 5 September 2015.

The space has more than 5000 m2 of construction, which includes three galleries for exhibition, an auditorium for 150 people, 4 classrooms for educational activities, a cafeteria, a shop, a restaurant and a terrace open to the public.
